Juliette Lewis Knows How to Go All the Way
Time for another excerpt from my new book (out in just a few days...May 24th in case I hadn't mentioned it;) This time I want to share a bit about the incredible Juliette Lewis from my Diva's Detail #2: Go All The Way...
"The actress and singer Juliette Lewis is one of the most passionate people I have ever met. Her performances are so visceral. I first met her when she was in town with her band, "The Licks." An Oscar nominee for her performance in Cape Fear, Juliette has worked with some of Hollywood’s most elite directors, Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, Robert Rodriguez…she’s a powerhouse and one of the best in her field.
Juliette couldn’t have been more gracious, more genuine, more interested. She was full of questions and happy to give answers to any and all of my queries. In addition to acting success, music is a huge part of who she is too. Just because she had achieved success in acting didn’t mean she was ready to stop growing, learning and discovering who all she really is. She continues to tap into her strengths, wherever that leads her. Juliette is a true professional, and a true original. She is all of the things that most of us aspire to be, genuinely warm, confident and happy. When we were introduced, she smiled her infectious smile and gave me a big hug. She made a point to put her arm around me when we took photographs and made sure we got everything we needed from the interview before wrapping up. She gives her all, all the time. It is obvious that she loves what she does. Juliette is one of the most dynamic and engaging performers I have ever seen, be it acting or singing. She is a great example of someone who has become more of herself (Detail #1) and goes all the way (Detail #2)."
